Why are plasmids with colE1/ pMB1 ori "suicidal" to bacteria other than Enterobacteriaceae?

Some of the plasmids used for allelic exchange have colE1/pMB1 ori. Does anybody know which part of the replication cycle is missing in the non permissive strains? Thank you!
