How should i run an adsorption experiment of ferrite (MnFe2O4) and heavy metal (Cu,Pb,As ,Se) using UV-VIS ?

What kind of blank should i use to tar the UV? I just want to mesure metal concentration before and after adpsortion process adding ferrite nanoparticles.
