With NixZn(1-x)Fe2O4, if the Ni concentration increases the crystallite size becomes smaller and the lattice parameter becomes larger. Why?

I had synthesized nanoparticles NixZn(1-x)Fe2O4. When the concentration of Ni increase than the crystalite size become smaller and the lattice parameter become larger. Thanks
