Hi, can someone please enlighten me on why we use IL-12 and IL-18 stimulation on human NK cells for checking IFN-gamma production?

I want to check the cytotoxicity by measuring IFN-gamma production of human primary NK cells after co-incubation with a fungal pathogen.
