How can I increase M13 phage uptake by E.coli O157:H7?

I am trying to infect E. coli O157:H7 (Sakai) using a modified M13-derived phage. The phage is able to efficiently enter phage-competent TG1 cells, but it seems to enter only 0.001% of Sakai cells...
