Hello, I'm evaluating nitrate plants content according to Cataldo method. Since I have a phenols interference, how can I remove them with PVPP?

I was searching how to remove phenols from my freeze-dried samples and I found that with PVPP is possible to do it, but there aren't guidelines about the amount and in which step I should use it....
