Will ligase work on DNA strands broken by heat?

After heat shattering a DNA strand it into smaller strands (not denaturation), what kind of ends are produced? Are these able to be ligated?Thanks!

Why do my primers in multiplex PCR have wide Tm difference?

I'm about to amplify 5 primers, and the melting temperature range between the 5 is 48°C to 68°C. Is there anything I can do apart from splitting the reactions up or changing primers? Thanks.
