Can anyone of you advise me about how to store harvested bacterial cellulose.Whether to store it in sterilized water at 4-8 degree for long time?

Whether bacterial cellulose can be stored with sufficient amount of water in a refrigerator for 3-5 months? I would also like to know about the degradation of bacterial cellulose upon storage?
