Please explain to me or refer me to a link describing the mechanism of hemoglobin degradation by lysosomal acid hydrolases of splenic macrophages.

I am more interested in the fate of the globin residue. I am writing a structural biology review and would therefore prefer structural aspects of these hydrolases/proteases.

Could everyone please refer me to structural and mechanistic studies of hemoglobin degrading proteases?

Preferably cysteine proteases with emphasis on: parasitic proteases housekeeping proteases I need only structural studies like X ray crystallography or in silico modeling studies.
