Has anyone attempted to measure the production of thyroxine (t4) or triiodothyronine (t3) from cell culture effluent?

Every ELISA I have come across is usable for plasma/ serum, but not specifically for culture effluent. Can anyone make a suggestion for how to measure the hormone production? Regards Andy.
