In order to study the role of histone methyltransferases in blood vessels, we want to do Carotid Artery injury in GM mouse. We don't have any experience so we would welcome any advice on this.

We want to treat mice with STZ (type I diabetes model) and although most of the studies time frames are 10 and 20 weeks long, we wonder how longer the mice can survive. Any thoughts?
