Which will be the best formula to calculate the "cut-off" for indirect ELISA, to detect host preferences of blood-feeding mosquitoes?

Just to notify that at this stage I'm using the follow formula: -> Cut-off = mean + (3 x standart deviation) But I have my doubts if it is the best option. Thanks in advance. Adéritow Gonçalves.
