Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly been employed in several scientific and industrial fields. This discussion aims to explore the author's point of view in publishing articles on RG if it has the following requirements:
1- Impact factor
2- Reliable peer reviewing process
3- Similar features to the well-known journals
There are several factors play key role in selection of journals. Also, academics follows some standards and guidelines. Considering the publication acceptance criterias of different universities, I am quite sure it will be challenging in next 2 to 3 years. However, may be an excellent idea for future.
Still, there will be one basic question, is this idea aligned wi RG vision,mission and scope?
AI will not even in 100 years be able to parse a manuscript without making serious mistakes in interpretation, as natural language is too rich, and, moreover, there may be plenty of mistakes in the manuscript, which an AI might very well miss - with hilarious consequences.
Prof. @Micheal Patriksson I think that 100 years is still slightly little :) And the most important thing is that if AI can review papers, then it can write papers and can create knowlege :). So, what do people study and publish papers for :)
Shirshendu Roy , Why not? We might find a new extension of the scope of RG in the near future to include such features
