Would you please help me with the difference or the relation ship between Geostatic step, gravity force and body force in ABAQUS?

I'm extremely confused with the usage of these three terms in the geotechnical analysis, aslo related to the definition of initial conditions for soil stresses

A Geostatic step is defined in order to apply initial stresses in the model. An equilibrium is therefore established between the initial stresses and the gravity load.

Defining a gravity load, ABAQUS will calculate the resultant force using the user-defined acceleration magnitude and density of the material.

The body force is a user-defined load.
