I carried out a project to study the effect of agronomic factors on the vegetative development of rice and the subsequent effects on yield. Because of lack of accurate knowledge of vegetative development in direct seeded rice in Mediterranean conditions, an important part of my research consisted in the characterizationof this phase. As a result, I have some results on rice crop pattern in Mediterranean conditions over 3 years which represent the baseline for the understanding and applicability of agronomic practices. I wonder if such data per se is eligible to be published.
This information surely would be a good contribution but as the publication in any sci indexed journal is concerned it may be difficult as statistical application is very much crucial for the hypothesis judgements. Might be there is any journal having just experimental methods or so , where this can be tried.
Nature alone is doing the most beautiful experiments. Why not watching them and publish as a story based on your observations. You can find even in high rated journals publications with ZERO new information. Just as a repeated alternative presentation of well documented facts. It's even not a plagiat if the original papers are cited. If your observations are original, then make your story, which indicates the value or applicability of what you have seen and concluded. If propositions for a practical use will emerge (or have already been expressed), then it is for sure acceptable for publication.
Write it, and trye to publish it and follow the topic, so that you or others will use your report for doing new experiments. Good luck.

Yes I agree with Dr Reto. Extrapolation of the data in the same agro climatic region for large scale studies may be used for the interpretation. But further a statistical analysis would be needed for conluding the findings.
Dear Maite, your question is a little vague, but there is no inherent reason why your study should not be publishable. What was your reason for doubt? Are you, perhaps, wondering about a suitable method for analyzing your data?

Dear Maite, I'd be willing to read your paper over and offer some suggestions if you think it would help. Publishing descriptions of cropping systems can be tricky because so many scientists (so referees,,,) think that the only way to do science is in replicated experiments.
Your data are publishable. Refusal by one Journal is not a reason for non acceptance of the same in some other journals. Publish your paper in a local journal or journals devoted to on-farm research data. Statistics are not so important in such studies because of high variability of the data although the information may be technically correct. Try more than two or more journals before you despair or give up.
It depends on the tye of data collection and sample size. Non-metric measurements need not have any statistical validation. However, metric data need to be interpreted using statistics. In such case, you can peruse different statistical methods that fit your case and interpret using such model. This is not much difficult if your data type and sample size, frequency is known.
Any data you have has to be compared with something, so compare with a non treatment and inform whether what you have done is better
