There are some distinctive successes in surgeries, there are thousands of experiments to manipulate brain functioning that claim to decelerate how brain produce conscious, even more how to transfer this process on machines. (AI).
In fact all this research didn't make one real step forward. So why instead of outward brain manipulating not try to understand complex inward neuronal processes ?
My hint: without understanding "brain quantum logic" neuroscience remains pure outside manipulation....
Dear Ilan,
that's more a statement than a question. From my point of view, differences in the quality of perceptual experience are hard to explain solely based on neuronal properties. Instead, relating the perceptual experience to your behavior and interactions with the world offers a new approach. This is the spirit of the feelSpace project and places it firmly in the domain of embodied cognition. Here, experimental work is hard and progress is slow. But there is progress. :)
