in terms of sorption capacity, treatability of persistent organic pollutants like dyes, pharma wastes etc., will there be any difference between two sludge biomasses collected from return activated streams (RAS) of Activate sludge process (ASP) treating domestic and industrial streams separately?
will the cell starvation in case of industrial RAS be more than Domestic RAS? If so, Why?

In general, there is no difference in the two sludge biomasses. But to tell you the truth there is no cell starvation. Instead, we have two controlling factors to control the ASP:-
1- Food to Microorganism ratio F/M
2- Cell Residence Time

i think there would be atleast 60 - 90 min of settling time before the RAS would be mixed with the fresh waste water stream at the inlet. hence, the cell starvation.
