In a Winsor II system, if the salinity is sufficiently high in aqueous phase, would it be possible to drive all water molecules away from the oil phase leaving only micelles/dispersed surfactants in the oil phase? If so, how could this be proved?
You examine the system water / AOT/ hydrocarbon. AOT 99% Sigma. Need to add a little water to fill the empty volume radius 0,44nm between the three groups AOTSO3-. Then formed micelle in hydrocarbon. See IR spectrum. If you have more water, you add salt NaCl gradual. It binds water. See IR spectrum of the system to its original condition. This experimental design.
