I am doing the nitrogen gas adsorption and desorption for isotherm.
I know the isotherm for montmorillonite is type B.
However, for my isotherm, I don't know why the desorption line sharply do not descarse to form the close loop at around Ps/P0 = 0.5.

I believe your isoterm is correct. It seems you have a gap in the desorption between points 0,5 and 0,3 and the line is simple linking the points you have. If you had more points between 0,5 and 0,3 in the desorption process, you would have a better described hysteresis loop. (I hope I did understand correctly your issues)

I see no problem. Simply, you should re-registered once more adsorption-desorption curve to find the right solution of your FAQ.
