Probably up to a certain level of V doping there is effectual substitution occurring in the lattice, and beyond the critical amount, the incoporated V is going somewhere else, and existing either as a mixed phase or a segregated phase.

you may try to establish at which site, is the Vanadium getting substituted preferentially, if possible through Raman spectroscopy, and see if you are seeing any systematic Raman shifts occurring due to V doping up to a certain level, and thereafter something else is happening.

But I have one query

There is a monotonic shift in the peak position (2θ ~ 31as well as for 45˚) towards greater angle side with increase in V doping in XRD patterns. Besides this, there is a decrease in lattice volume. Can this observation tell us about the occupancy at A or B site. (rTi = 0.60 Å, rV = 0.60 Å, r Ba = 1.39 Å)

Raman spectroscopy will be more useful to distinguish at which site is the Vanadium going.

Try to see some other papers on doped BaTiO3 , which have been analyzed by Raman spectroscopy, and you will learn how they different authors are trying to interpret their results, and coming to plausible conclusions. Such an excercise will greatly help you in understanding you own Raman resulsts on V doped BaTiO3.
