Ex situ particles reinforced 1045 steel quenched at 850 ℃, then tempered at 500 ℃ and 600 ℃,while, the yield strength stay the same, the ultimate tensile strength decrease. After the TEM observation, the secondary hardening was not found. So, how could I explain the experimental result?
A reason could be due to the fact that the dispersoids might have mean-free-distance lesser than a critical value, which dictates the yield strength rather than the hardness of the matrix. Above this critical value (less amount of dispersoid), the matrix hardness is expected to be influenced by the mean-free-distance between the particles. Below that concentration (high amount of dispersoid), the matrix hardness has not much influence. This is my theory, you may have to run some experiments to figure this out.

Draining of materials is known in the fact that as the load time increases with constant force, the materials start to crawl (prolong). At post-room room temperature, this process runs too slowly. As the temperature increases, creep accelerates while maintaining the load. A significant factor is how much we've loaded. The force of the load does not move into the plastic area because there are other creep mechanisms. The study should be conducted in an elastic and elastic plastic area. If we try to make the material, then it is necessary to move into the plastic area but not to overdo it with the strength of the material (Rm). This strength decreases as temperature increases.
The yield strength is related to the strength of the bonds between the atoms while the tempering process is related to the rearrangement of the atoms so, it is expected that no change occurs in the strength of the bonds and hence no change in the yield strength.
