Hi Ashok.

The "make yes-package" command only changes the configuration flag in order to include a package. If you just did that, you need to hit "make mpi" or something like that to get your new executable. Anyway, building with make is an old procedure, I reccommend you to use cmake (if available for you on system). See https://docs.lammps.org/Build_cmake.html

Hint: If you change the "cmake ../cmake" line for "ccmake ../cmake" then a screen with all the configuration possibilities will appear, simplyfing that step. After that, follow as indicated.

Now after doing all these I am getting the following ..

MPI_ABORT was invoked on rank 0 in communicator MPI_COMM_WORLD

with errorcode 1.

NOTE: invoking MPI_ABORT causes Open MPI to kill all MPI processes.

You may or may not see output from other processes, depending on

exactly when Open MPI kills them.

I request you to help me out..

After make yes-packagename, you should compile again. Also ensure that you're using the new binary.

make yes-package just gets you the package. You have to recompile the lmp_mpi executable by running "make build". You should now have the executable in the $PATH_TO_LAMMPS_DIR/src. You can also check all your installed packages by doing a "make ps".
