Hundreds of papers suggest that mushroom species such as those in the genera Ganoderma and Inonotus (among others) have in vitro and in vivo effects against cancer. However, none of those investigations seem to have resulted in an effective highly prescribed treatment against cancer or other pathologies. Is that due to the lack of interest of the pharma industry in natural products, or are the results not clonclusive or reliable enough?
