In most of the research papers I saw that the calcine and sintering temperature for BSCCO is nearly 850 deg C and they soaked their samples at that temperature for very long time (above or equal to 84 hrs). So I also tried this but for my sample all the pellets melted. Can you tell me why this is happening?
I will suggest to calibrate furnace and thermocouple for temperature. May be actual temperature is more than it is showing.
Even when we calcined the powder sample at 860 deg C for 20 hrs then also the powder melts. I do not understand why this is happening. I got your point and thanks for your suggestion but are there any other possibilities for this?

I understood your point but according to this attached paper the sample was prepared in air. I also follow the same procedure but still it do not work for my sample. That's why I am worried.
