I have gone through the literature and noticed that most of the people worked on the metal oxide of 3d series elements as pseudocapacitor. I have found very less literature related to 4d, 5d and F block elements, only few metal oxides are reported. Why it is so ? Is there any specific reason behind this ?

So I can say that we have to take care that the our material should be light, cheap, non toxic, non corrosive, possesses multiple oxidation state and electronically conductive.
what are the other parameters I have to focuss on while chosing the pseudo ?
As pointed out by others cost plays an major role, apart from this it should be inert with the electrolyte (EDLC) else it catalyses the electrolyte and thereby exhibit inferior performance. AC is ultimate electrode material for EDLC so far.
The property that a supercapacitor material must have is fast electron transfer rate, any redox couple that is having this property can be used as electrode material in supercapacitor.
