I think the first submission must be any format and if it is accepted then journal can say to prepare according to the journal format. I feel that I am wasting a lot of time to prepare in journal style. What's your opinion on this matter?. Recently many journals start returning the files if it is not in the form of journal style. Please write your views.
Hi, reviewers are human being. They are busy. If you format it, they can spend time elsewhere.
On a different note, using EndNote and Mendeley you can easily format manuscripts for specific journals. Its few clicks aways.

My question about initial submission not about what you understood. After acceptance, we can prepare according to the journal format. I am not saying reviewers must do it in journal format. If you are using latex then it is not easy to prepare every time in journal style. Many packages needed to be installed. After all the effort the paper may get reject and then we will go with another format.

Standard communication styles help audiences in grasping the theory of knowledge of communicator's materials. In case of communicating through write-ups, a standard template helps the readers and all stakeholders.
Rationale of asking the author to submit the paper in journal format is to enhance the convenience of reviewer/ editor and give justice to all stake holders.
We can minimise the inconvenience by targeting the right journal to start with. Additionally, you may look at journals from one publishing group so that you don't have to revise the format every time (since format is common to most journals of a publishing group). Once you exhaust this option, you can look at journals from other publishers with different submission requirements. This can save time. We may initially find it difficult to follow submission guidelines, but is worth the effort. We will improve our writing skills and get exposure to various writing styles.

We have different type of Journals and each Publishers have their own format style. According to their guidelines, the researcher has to write the research paper.

Sir, you don't think that you are wasting time, you are trying to expertise in writing skills and once your research paper got published in your target publication and then when you want publish second time also in the same publication you are very much familiar to the format style. Then the past experience can be reduced your burden.
Here I want to say one thing, before submitting the research paper, first go through guidelines which are seen on the publishers website then you can prepare the manuscript according their requirements (Citation style, Reference style etc.) If you follow their guidelines, later stage your work burden may be reduced.

Finally I want to say one thing, before submitting the manuscript go through the some of the Journal where already got published in your target publication and try to read once it can be help to understand how they have written (format or style) and If the topic is relevant to your study you can try to cite in your research paper. This is also some of the publishers expect from the researcher and mandatory as well.
