TEACHING IS MAGIC. I love teaching because as a nurse I can help a patient to recover his health and return to his family. The knowledge he gains is available to his family and friends, multiplying the benefits. I learn something from each patient and adjust my teaching to optimize the impact of the knowledge.
I have been very blessed by exposure to many mentors and have learned so much from them vicariously and so it is my responsibility to mentor students who enter the psychology profession as clinicians. It is "paying it forward".
