The quantization of gravity [ like many other] has been on my mind since a
very long times-I want to see some creative answers to my question-
Electromagnetic Field, governed by Gauss-Faraday-Maxwell's theory can be
quantized since we can, simply, think of it as a field propagating over space-
time. However for gravity, although we can write the metric as sum of two
metrics one the 'background' + h_{\mu\nu}- 'locally'; One answer is of course
that theory can be 'quantized' but it will not be renormalizable, due to the
Newton Universal dimensional-constant G_{N}-
Because Newton's constant, the coupling constant of the gravitational interaction is dimensionfull-it has dimensions of inverse mass squared. And, unlike Fermi theory, it's not known what the degrees of freedom are, whose dynamics is controlled by dimensionless coupling constants. If a theory isn't renormalizable, it can't be quantized, since the cutoff can't be removed, so everything depends on the details of the cutoff, not just the scale.

But about the cutoff you mention-There are several ways:-One way is by
introducing scalar field, as I [in my MPhil thesis in Canada in 1982-84] and others; second way by string theory in my 1986 paper, along with others and finally there is the topological approach, tried by others and myself in 1998 via topology-
A scalar field doesn't provide any cutoff for gravitational fluctuations. String theory does provide a consistent framework, in principle, however it isn't, yet, known how to compute gravitational fluctuations in practice, that are relevant for determining the corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert action. Topological theories are those, for which certain kinds of fluctuations can be shown to be absent-which isn't the case for Einstein-Hilbert, however. So it's useful to realize that there has been quite a lot of work done, both after 1984-but, also, before and that selfpromotion isn't a good idea-especially if it falls short of what it proclaims.

The main point is that I have worked on this problem for whatever time- because
I am interested in it, that is all what counts- I do not go giving seminars, I do not like
the idea- So unfortunately you came to the wrong conclusion, or jumped to it.
