Doping is a technical word for putting impurities at a very low concentration of ppm level till the band gap of the host material does not change. However, if the impurity level is high, a new alloy is formed which has a different band gap. In such a case, new alloy will depend on what additive element is used and what is the host semiconductor. If the new alloy formed has less band gap than the parent semiconductor, conductivity will increase. On the other hand, if band gap increases, conductivity may decrease. One can check optical band gap of the alloys formed to verify that this is the reason for increase or decrease of conductivity in your case.
