Hello,
I'am trying to run the 1H NMR spectrum of an ionic solution (Bromide Salt). the solution is too viscous so I had to randomly add a certain volume of deuterated chloroform, and then transfer 550 µL of the diluted solution into the NMR tube . The lock signal displayed too much distorsions and the command topshim failed. I received the following error message :
''TopshimFieldMap-signal-to-noise is too low : for long echo time''.
Can you please help me on what could be the reasons of such a problem ?

Thank you for your answer sir Can you tell anything about the high distorsions in the lock signal, is there a possibility to attenuate them ?
Because as I might understand the lock signal also serves as the input for the shimming process, and if there are too much oscillations in the lock it will perturb the shimming.
