I'm using MS Word 2013, with latest Mendeley version. There was no such issues previously, but recently, every time I try to insert a citation, Word freezes up and displays a series of error messages. I've tried re-installing both the softwares, but the problem persists. I've mailed Mendeley regarding this, but no reply yet.
Sabyasachi Sen please let me know if you find a solution. Having the issue with word 365. FYI I actually installed an old version of mendeley and the problem resolved. This is not an ideal solution of course.
everything was working a month ago, and same issue as yours. Waiting for an answer/solution. Anyone?
Reed Taylor Sutton which Mendeley version did you install to temporarily solve the issue? I am using MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. Afraid of updating to the newest MacOS version. Running Word 2016 Version 16.16.4. I had contacted Mendeley and no-one has responded
@Maziel Arauz I have used both version 1.15 and 1.17 and they both work. 1.19 was giving me problems. I used desktop version on Windows 10 though.

Reed Taylor Sutton I did what you said and it worked for Mac. Found an older version and Installed the Mendeley 1.17 for Mac. Had to do some extra stuff. 1. uninstall the MS word Plug-in from the 1.17 Mendeley.
and on the steps the installed Vancouver citation style I added to my Word also works now too.

I don´t know if this is the soluton, but I logged out of my Mendeley account, then logged back in, and I haven´t had the problem since.
I have just contacted Mendeley. Customer service officer said that my problem is with my office. The office I use is office 365 and it doesn’t support Mendeley at moment
