lignocellulosic biomass-derived Hydrochar (which has been produced through HTC process) was applied in the removal of methylene blue color from an Aqueous solution.the solution shifted to yellow. Why? please address us....
Many thanks for your reply.our hydrochar was activated with KOH for 2 hours at 700C.this activated char adsorbed the MB from aqueous solution successfully without any observed solution color shift.we estimated that MB is trapped in the pores of activated hydrochar while, unactivated chars lacked the suitable pores thus MB was not adsorbed and caused the mentioned color shift through the photocatalytic effect that occurred during the adsorption process due to the solution being exposed by light in presence of existing inorganic metals.please, if possible, tell us your idea about this phenomenon.
