Why do applicants hoping to become police recruits find themselves needing a minimum of a college degree for eligibility if the standard across the nation has always been to have a minimum of a high school diploma?
One of the possible reasons for that is that a college degree requires a certain amount of academic aptitude, work ethics and team work and those skills can often come handy during the course of work of police officers. Of course this is only my theory, but I think it is worth looking into.
