I agree, and the other possibility I want to suggest is cochlear implantation. Children who are born profoundly deaf benefit from cochlear implantation. Most of them are able to attend mainstream (regular) schools. Children who have residual hearing may benefit from hearing aids. It is of the utmost importance to identify hearing loss early on, as these interventions tend to be more effective when done as early as reasonably possible.\
