Why are III V quantum dots are so much more sensitive than II VI quantum dots? Any good literature on this?

I am looking to understand what is the fundamental reason or reasons why III V QDs are so much more reactive and sensitive to the environment than II VI QDs? Is it the nature of the ionic bond within III-Vs? is it crystal structure? is it higher oxidation potential? I am looking to understand it better, and find some recommended literature on this
