I would like to upload the full text of my PhD onto here but it doesn't appear even after I am asked to open a file from my computer. I also tried to put the link to the thesis as it is stated on the university's website but when I do so it tells me the DOI you entered is structured incorrectly check it and try again! Any help is appreciated
file size might be a problem if the file is over 2-3MB. I see the thesis on University of Newcastle website is 9.1MB. You should be able to recompress this in Adobe Acrobat to less than 3MB. Also, if the link breaks during upload, that will cause this problem, so check upload speed. Also, some internet connections drop and reconnect without telling you, if their service is poor. This will prevent an upload completing. To comment on DOI, you need to show it to us, but as a PhD graduate, you should manually check the format yourself first. Start by looking up the DOI yourself to see if it works. However, I note the university uses a URI, not DOI - so if you use this while telling the system it is a DOI, you'll get an error.

You're right it's because it's a URI, I didn't notice it wasn't a DOI that NCL uses. I was hoping to use the link instead.
I'll try recompressing the file and let's hope it works.
