What proportion of questions posted on here are:
(a) Asked by undergraduates looking for help with their homework?
(b) Postgraduates that have grown up with google and have difficulty finding information for themselves ?
(c) Well formed?
(d) Interesting research questions?
The four options are not mutually exclusive and it is a genuine question. The corollary is: how do we eliminate (a), minimise (or correct) (b), avoid the complement of (c) and maximise (d)?
There are many reasons for asking questions on RG. Besides all the motives people would questions others for, we may pose a question here to get to know the point of view of others who are on the field even though we may have our own concept formed. We may pose a question to help ourselves with teacing, to get more insights for a research and some questions we may want to them answered here. People come with so many points of views for the same subject that this questioning becomes extremely interesting.
I understand that all enquires should be motivated here. I guarantee you that anyone, with any motive in his mind will be changed when his ideas are confronted with others. One alone soon will be daydreaming.
