I would like to know which tree species under commercial utilization in list of Biodiversity Authority of India for which a firm/ company has to pay some percent to National Biodiversity Authority (India). Is the raw material of Eucalyptus, polar or Leucena used by paper and pulp industries also fall in that category? Is there such case of under Nagoya Protocol to pay to the state government for utilization of any such biological resources in the lobe?

Species which are not exempted under the Normally Traded as Commodities (NTC) list falls under the category of commercial utilization, Pl. refer Section 38 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. We have already received ABS money for the sale of red sanders.
Thanks@Thomson. Is there any list available or publish by Government of India. Are Eucalyptus, Poplar, Casurina, Leucena are exempted or not as they are very commonly used pulpwood species utilized by all paper & pulp industries.

In Agroforestry policy, 2014 for tree planting on farms not specifically mention the role of NBA for production and utilisation of tree resources. This may impact sandal and red snadal growers??
