I am working on several tree species like Acacia catechu (Fabaceae), Albizia lebbeck (Fabaceae), Cassia fistula (Fabaceae), Phyllanthus emblica (Phyllanthaceae) Terminalia arjuna (Combretaceae) and Terminalia bellirica (Combretaceae). These tree species prefer to grow in Tropical Dry Environment.
I'm working on Psidium guajava. It is a native plant of Mexico, but in Kakamega Tropical forest, it's an invasive species. To be precise, its the most successful invasive species n Kakamega tropical forest.
Interesting to know that Psidium guajava (Myrtaceae) is successful invasive species in Kakamega tropical forest.. This South American tree species was introduced to India by Portuguese. Psidium guajava is a very common tree species in India planted as a fruit tree in gardens but never found invasive in tropical Indian conditions.
