I am looking for a software that can be used for drawing charts, graphs, block diagram and other stuff that to use in the thesis writing?
for drawing charts and graphs MS-Excel is a good option. However for block diagrams word can also be used.
If you have to draw block diagrams you can use the following softwares
1. SmartDraw http://www.smartdraw.com/specials/block-diagram.htm
2. Edraw http://www.edrawsoft.com/block-diagram.php
3. https://www.draw.io/
4. MATLAB can also be used.

Yes MS Excel is a very good tool for drawing graphs and other stuff. You can also use MS word for drawing charts and block diagrams in word files. For drawing chemical structures, you can use ChemDraw or ISIS draw also, if needed.

SmartDraw is very good s/w for block diagram...
I would suggest using Visio for drawing diagrams that is much easier and has more options than Excel. If you don't have Visio, use Google Drawing in Google Drive (when you click on ‘Create’ in Google Dive, you see that option). It's pretty similar to Visio and lets you download your drawings as an image or a pdf, tho Google Drawing has less design features.
