Different experiences occurring historically lead to some differences when considering different countries. What could be the reasons for these differences?
For example, the three countries which experience a revolution in the past (France, Turkey, Japan) in comparison, have different levels of political polarization, despite similar historical experience. What could be the reasons for this?

I think that in social sciences one can only compare domains sharing the same time and space scales. Thus, revolutions that don't share the same periods or political territories that don't share the same space structures can't be compared. The alternative is what is called connective research.
Social facts are not unique. They differ greatly as well as show great similarities. Various theories can be put forward in social sciences based on these similarities. For example, Michael Roskin, who works in the field of comparative political science and author of the book "Comparative Political Systems", says that a theory of "Revolution" systematic can be put forward. He says that even if they occur in different periods, the revolutions have similar characteristics in certain respects and can be divided into stages. What I want to ask or wonder is not whether the revolutions I am talking about are completely similar, but what similarities they show and what differences they show.
The difference is civilization, and its main factor culture. If you compare the cultural parameters of each of these nations, that you gave as an example, you'll eventually figure the reasons that distinguish them in the polarization of their politics.You certainly remarked that all three countries, Turkey, France and Japan used to practice politics under rulers either Emperors or Monarchs. These politics under such rulers were obviously dictatorial ones, if I may picture them as such. Yet one has to consider the factor revolution, each one of these countries had a different revolution. They were all bloody but not as versatile as the French one. One has also to remember that all three countries have lost whether a whole empire or a large number of colonies which used to be an importance source of revenue for their economies,which meant for their power too. Hence I believe, all these arguments had definitely an impact on the difference of polarization of politics of the three countries today, how much important it is? remains posed and re-searchable...
