I am creating artificial salinity by adding 150mM and 200mM (w/w) to the soil and after this I want to measure the EC in the soil and I have found different methods to extract the soil solution like 1:5, 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 and saturation point of the soil so what you advice to use from these methods to measure the EC

Anoop sir and Ajit sir thank you for all your answers it helped me definitely and can you tell me if I decided to use saturation point EC can I make some modification in this method by adding dalution factor like 5x means I will test first how much water will saturate my soil and after this I will add this amount of water 5 time after I will get the EC I will multiply into 5 to get the real EC in the soil paste
As i said saturation paste pH is usually adopted where soil is infested with salinity / sodicity. Otherwise 1: 2 soil : water suspension pH will be the ideal. As you go increasing the dilution for water to soil ratio , pH will be usually higher than using 1: 2 soil : water suspension.
OK Sir but if I used 1:2 the EC will be less compared with saturation point but I suggested that in my lab I tried to know the saturation point I found it 44ml per 100g soil and this with 5 times dalution will be 220 ml for 100g soil and I will multiply this EC in 5 to get the EC of soil paste...... For 1:2 ratio it will be near 200ml per 100g soil but in case of saturation point I will multiply in 5 so is this will be right modification in saturation paste method
How much difference in soil pH , you are getting through 1: 2 soil water suspensiin veesus saturation paste pH. Amount of water that you add to get near saturatiin paste of the soil will depend primarily upon soil texture and other cementing materials governing soil aggregate stability...
Anoop sir you means that the PH it will affect the EC while measuring the EC with these two methods....... And my enquiry was if I made the dalution based on the water required for the saturation point means instead of adding 44ml for 100g soil I will add 5 times and measure the EC also the water amount it will be very near to 1:2 method but this will multiply into 5 after getting the EC so this will be wrong.
I think if your soil samples are rice in organic matter, you may use a 1:2 or 1:5 soil to water ratio.
