I have finished my PhD in Biology, with a thesis about molecular evolution of a virus (molecular biology and routine bioninformatics methodology). Only one publication (soon, but still waiting) by now!
But I think this is the chance to change the subject. I want to get into Systems Biology applied to Evolutionary Biology, or something about the Extended Evolution Theory.
I thought about doing a Master on Physics of Complex Systems, or even starting a new PhD on these issues.
What is your advice?

Any changes during this first part of your life are ok, dont warry . You will have other changes during your scientific life. The important is focus in your formation, training and get the tools for the future. Some time is importat follow the instint but more importat is feeling happy with the work that you are doing
