I need to obtain the molecular structure of a TPU pellet. The TPU is semi-crystalline so I thought in XRD, but I don't know if it would actually work. Can someone tell me if this is a suitable technique. And, if it isn't, does somebody know of other analytical technique to determine molecular structure?

For the molecular structure of thermoplastics, FTIR will be beneficial in a way that it reveals the elements existing in your sample whatsoever, and types of bonding amongst them. This will indeed confirm the identity of the prepared sample.

FTIR can be suitable for this investigation. Furthermore, you can obtain the useful information by thermal analysis methods such as DTA or DSC.
FTIR, Raman, DSC are suitable tests for determine molecular structure.

No single analytical tool is complete for any structural determination. FT-IR, XRD, XPS, SEM could be used
100% agree with Mr. Harish. Physiochemical , chemical as well as not single instrument but multiple instrumental analysis can elucidate the structure of single compound
The best method for identifying crystalline structure is XRD.
