Which is better for mitochondrial calcium imaging, specific targeted proteins like aequorin or pericam , or fluorescent dyes like rhod-2 and rhodFF ?

We are intended to quantify dynamic calcium levels in mitochondria. There is also one more challenge as the model is in Zebrafish.

Aequorin is surely more precise than fluo dyes because by using a calibration curve you can directly convert the raw luminescence in the exact calcium concentration.
