Which information technologies, including advanced information processing technologies, typical of the current technological revolution known as Industry 4.0 are developed by enterprises to improve logistics?

The current technological revolution described as Industry 4.0 is determined by the development of, inter alia, the following technologies of advanced information processing, including, among others: Big Data database technologies, cloud computing, machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and other advanced technologies Data Mining processing. These technologies are increasingly developed in enterprises and are applied, among others, in the processes of logistics improvement.

The advanced information processing technologies mentioned above find more and more applications in various fields of industry, production of goods, provision of services and the aim of improving logistics, including supply, production and distribution logistics. The number of industries, fields of economic activity and sectors of the national economy is growing, in which advanced information processing technologies typical of the present fourth technological revolution, known as Industry 4.0, are applied. The use of information technologies allows enterprises to improve the processes of traditionally implemented logistics of supplying production, production and distribution factors necessary for production as well as logistics of information services offered on-line by technological corporations.

In my opinion, currently cloud computing technologies, the Internet of Things, mobile devices connected to the Internet, learning machines, Big Data database systems are used to improve the logistics processes of enterprises, including supply, production and distribution logistics. Some large technology companies also build and develop technologies of artificial intelligence and Business Intelligence analytics to improve logistics and its offer of information services available mainly via the Internet.
