Which indicators should I look at for making a presentation on a country's economic trajectory of a decade other than GDP, poverty level or investment? What else can I include in my presentation other than graphical data based analysis?
Besides GDP, poverty level or investment you can use following indicators: interest rates, corruption level, different rankings (for example, investment attractiveness) and others
Outside the box a little here, not quite a traditional measure which have been concisely identified by the other contributors. How about looking at emerging technology vs natural resource for potential future trajectory
You can see if the economic development was concentrated or dispersed i.e. did the perifery regions grow faster or slower then the core, usually more developed regions, in this manner you will check if there was a trend of convergence (cohesive growth) or if there was divergence, un even - development. This way you can test economic theory empiricly. See Krugman 1991 and Baro - Sala Marin for more insight.
