Which gamified eLearning tools do you use to motivate your students to participate more?

I am an informatics professor and sometimes it is really hard to motivate students online to participate in class. I know there are several platforms, tools and methods out there but I don't want to overwhelm myself and the students in synchronous sessions.

E.g. for topics like climate change-health-digitalization nexus, user experience, UI development, software engineering etc.

Happy to get to know some of your experiences / studies etc.
