Company named Camlog has also good designed dental implant. Camlog with the help of scientists does a lot of tests and researches on their implants to improve them.
I agree with dr archontia palaiologou in every thing he says although iam familiar with both stratum and nobel but iam sure that the others are also effective ,one of my criteria I in selecting an implant is the ability to discuss Any problem or question with the implant dealer and the fact they have thought of that problem and have the answer and the product to solve the problem.

I agree 100% with Dr. Eckert's comments. I can name at least 7 implant designs put out by reputable companies that have been quietly removed from the market because of poor performance (sometimes causing harm to patients)...all implants are not equal and there is no "best" implant.
There is no absolute best Implant design, each clinical case would need a specific design, you need to chose between reputable companies because you will surely have less risk of bad manufacturing. But you need also to plan your cases and chose the best design for each of them.
I think that, depending on special cases and patent-specific applications, it is not possible to trace the identikit of the perfect implant. Anyway, for what in my concerns, and as a result of my partial results in this context, really good biomechanical performances may be achieved with the Ankyos type implants, that tend to preserve bone and to establish a good osseointegration.
I favor the external hexed Nobel or 3I endosseous implant bodies because it lend itself to facilitate the prosthodontics. These types of implants may be used for single tooth up to a full arch restoration with accuracy of fit at the implant/prosthetics interface. It is also easier to create custom screw retained abutments in the laboratory. Lastly and perhaps as important, Nobel Biocare does not stop manufacturing components, whereas other companies do. Lastly, in a difficult case it is easier to return to PI Branemark's in order to successfully create a long term reconstruction.
If you look at Esposito's articles published by The Cochrane Collaboration since 2008 or so, you will find that they also agree that there is no evidence based data to support one design over others. Therefore I completely agree with the distinguished previous colleagues who wrote to you.
However, there are some pros and cons to specific implant designs that is based on over two decades of working in this field as a Dental Educator, although NOT SCIENFITIC, these hints may give you an idea of some things to think about:
1. Cylindrical implants with mild threads *like the old Branemark design) may be tricky in soft bone conditions when used by beginners. This is due to the fact that when placed without care, these implants may start rotating when their apex riches the end of the osteotomy, Conical shaped implants (regardless of their connection type) with more aggressive thread designs may be easier for use by beginners in these conditions.
2. Implants with a rounded (non-active) apex may be safer for use when you get close to vital organs (such as the mandibular canal), since they would not proceed beyond your osteotomy. Implants with an active apex may go beyond the osteotomy and therefor require more care during placement procedures,
3. In immediate placement situations, implants with sharp apical threads may engage bone instantly, allowing easier placement into the desired position.
As I said before, these are NOT SCIENTIFIC, but clinical observations and insights. Please also note that there is a good chance that other doctors may not agree with me, and therefor I propose these insights only as my own opinion.

Will the answers chage? Or, in today's work place, cost/ availability/ kits has become as important as the brand name?
