Which country do you think has the right balance of policy, talent, research, and innovation culture to lead AI globally?
I am not certain as to which country is most likely to lead in AI at this point in time. the People's Republic of China is well poised to make advances as is the general EU. Recent political actions in the USA are likely to hinder progress in this country though. These actions include the actions taken against foreign students either in response to political speech or extreme ICE enforcement, both of which target often very intelligent foreign students. Likewise, decisions against solar and wind power, which are two of the cheapest sources for electricity production and also among the fastest to get approved and producing will also hinder by slowing the expansion of available electrical power and raise its cost, again hindering expansion.
